Pastor Anthony R. Perry is a Spirit filled minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In January 2006, armed with instructions from God, and led by the Holy Spirit, he answered the call to organize a body of believers and birth the vision God entrusted unto him as Pastor for Overcomers Community Church in the Acres Home community in Houston, Texas. Pastor Perry does not take lightly the mandate God gave him to, “feed MY sheep,” he has a servant’s heart and carries a message to share with all that will listen and are willing to be hearers and doers of God’s word. The message promises to all believers Salvation and Deliverance. He has committed his all to Christ and to the duties of building God’s Kingdom.
Pastor Perry is a Godly man who has worked diligently and faithfully over the years to purchase land in the community and take the church from a 2000’ church building to the new construction (2017) of a 6000’ worship and community center in Acres Homes. Pastor Perry attended Union Baptist College & Seminary in Houston, Texas, obtained his Counseling Certification from North Harris Community College and has studied at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas.
Pastor Perry has a passion for empowering all people with the word of God and the tools needed for total restoration of their whole life. This passion has led him to serve the community and the city of Houston as a member of God’s Provision for a Purpose Ministry Outreach Program, which serves ex-offenders. Pastor Perry is also a board member of the Open-Door Mission Homeless Shelter.
Pastor Perry is happily married to the lovely Lady Dassina Perry and is a loving father and grandfather.
